Regina Doman

Background

Regina Doman was born in 1970 in Havertown, Pennsylvania. After attending several different Catholic, public, and private schools, she graduated from Koinonia Academy of Warren, New Jersey in 1988. Having a strong interest in scriptwriting, she attended the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio and in 1992 graduated with a BA in Communications, concentrating on Television Production, with a minor in Theater Arts.

She lived in New York City and worked as assistant editor of Lay Witness magazine from 1992-1994, and wrote columns and articles for various publications, including a comic strip for YOU! magazine. In 1994 she married her husband, Andrew. She has also worked in an editorial capacity for Caelum et Terra journal, Sophia Institute Press, and MangaHero.  As an author, she has written the Fairy Tale Novels, the picture book Angel in the Waters, and several graphic novels, the latest being one on Pope Francis.

Today Regina edits fiction for her own publishing company, Chesterton Press, while continuing to work on new books and speaking at conferences, schools, and other events, including her writing class for teens. She, her husband, and their children live at Shirefeld, their homestead in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Conference Biography

Regina Doman is a Catholic wife, mother, author and editor. In an editorial capacity, she has worked for Catholics United for the Faith, Sophia Institute Press, and MangaHero. Currently she runs her own company, Chesterton Press, which publishes and distributes quality Catholic fiction. As an author, she has written the Fairy Tale Novels, a series of books for teens and adults that places fairy tales in modern settings with Christian themes interwoven. Her only picture book Angel in the Waters has sold over 120,000 copies. Regina and her husband Andrew live in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley on a farmstead with their children. To the question, “How do you manage to get it all done?” Regina responds, “What makes you think I get it all done?”
